2001 Coca-Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway

Prior to the race, we visited the D.E.I. headquarters located in Mooresville, NC. So you will see some of the pictures of the awesome complex where Dale Sr, Dale Jr, Steve Park and Michael Waltrips items are on display.

The 2001 Coca-Cola 600 at Lowes Motor Speedway in Charlotte, North Carolina. It is the longest race in the Winston Cup schedule, 600 miles or 400 laps around the 1.5 mile track. It starts in the day and finshes in the night.

The race started with a special tribute to the late great Dale Earnhardt and the typical pre-race activities.
